How often should I come for lessons?

It really comes down to personal preference. You’ll find the most growth in your voice when consistently attending lessons as well as weekly practicing. You can choose once a week either for a 30-minute or 1-hour lesson.

How often should I practice?

During your lessons, you’re expected to record your lessons so that you can practice during the week. You should be working alongside your lessons 2-4 times during the week following your lesson. The more you take the time to practice at home, the better growth you will see in your voice.

What sets you apart from other teachers?

I take the time to listen to your voice and give you the proper techniques to help grow your voice as a singer. I tailor your lesson TO YOU! This type of vocal training allows you to sing through your vocal passages with ease. Your voice lesson will feel different each week because you are learning and growing as well as mastering new skills each time you come.

What does a lesson with you look like?

First-Time Lesson: A first-time lesson may look a little different. It is my chance to get to know you. I usually ask you questions about your vocal history. I will take you through various vocal exercises during this lesson. This is for me to learn and understand your voice and the techniques that will be beneficial for training your voice as we get to future lessons.

A Reoccurring Lesson: We start each lesson with a quick chat about your week and how your voice is feeling and then quickly get into training your voice. After the vocal exercises, you get to work on a song of your choice. We take the time to help your voice grow and apply the teachings and techniques to a song!

What should I bring to lessons?

You of course! A water bottle, to help with a dry throat, your phone, or a recording device to record your lesson.
